Bronzino Forever

From 24 September 2010 to January 23, 2011 is staged at the Palazzo Strozzi exhibition Bronzino. Painter and poet at the court of the Medici, the first monographic tribute to Agnolo di Cosimo (Florence, 1503-1572), known as Bronzino for the bronze color of her hair, one of the greatest portrait painters of the sixteenth century Italian virtuoso creator of forms in the middle between naturalism and abstraction achieved by means of crystal colors of extraordinary purity.

More than ninety works on display for most of the artist plus some masterpieces of his beloved master Pontormo alongside sculpture by Benvenuto Cellini, tribulations, Baccio Bandinelli, Pierino da Vinci, who had friendly relations with Bronzino as documented sonnets of Petrarch obsequious in part, some irreverent and grotesque the example of Francesco Berni.
